There are many different ways you or your organization can support Mtaala and its work with Awegys. You can send a box of books to our library in Uganda, purchase a bed for the school's health clinic, sponsor a student, build an entire classroom, or make a general donation.

Student sponsorshipOur students have experienced tremendous hardship: war, the loss of their parents, the HIV epidemic, neglect, and extreme poverty. When you take out a student sponsorship therefore, you change lives, providing our students with secondary education (a rarity in Uganda), room and board, and the belief that someone cares. Every saturday, Awegys students gather local village children underneath the tree across from the school. Here, they sing, dance, and read books to the children, increasing literacy for all.
